The American Association of Osteopathic Manual Practitioners (AAOMP), based in Nevada (USA) is trademarking COMP (Certified Osteopathic Manual Practitioner) nationally in US.

The title will be issued only to AAOMP members who have successfully completed the board exams of the American Osteopathic Manual Practice Examining Board (AOMPB).

We want a unified title to be used in US as to fully distinguish us from osteopathic physicians.
AAOMP members are required to use the term "Osteopathic Manual Practice" instead of "osteopathy".
